On the coming BBQ Lecture on June 28th, Prof. Norman Backhaus from University of Zurich and Prof. Han Zhaoqing from Fudan University will give us a lecture on nature, and will share their thoughts and experience about nature conservation.

Prof. Norman Backhaus
Prof. Norman Backhaus, Geography and socio-economic history, graduated with Ph.D., degree from the University of Zurich in 1995 and obtained his venia legend for Human Geography in 2004. Currently he is senior researcher and lecturer at the Department of Geography of the University of Zurich. His research activities are driven by the desire to contribute to sustainable development in developing, newly industrialized and developed countries. During the last years his research activities revolved around nature conservation and landscape development in Malaysia.
Prof. Han Zhaoqing
Prof. Han Zhaoqing,Ph.D., professor of Institute of Historical Geography, Fudan University, visiting scholar of Harvard-Yenching Institute. Main research areas: environmental change、development of the western region of China and environmental problems in ancient times. Her writings include Research on Relations and Evolution between Yellow River and Huaihe River, Analysis on Background Related Issues of Kyoto Protocoletc.
